The number of groups for regulating the bear population has been increased in the Irkutsk region

The situation with bears entering populated areas remains tense in several districts of the Irkutsk region, regional governor Igor Kobzev said on Thursday. "The most tense situation is in the districts of Bratsk, Taishet, Slyudyanka, Ust-Ilimsk, Ust-Kut, Nizhneilimsk, and Nizhneudinsk. (...) 142 groups of wildlife managers, rangers, and experienced hunters."
