Japan is moving the Typhoon missile launcher from Kyushu to Okinawa

Japanese Defense Minister Shinjiro Koizumi said the military will redeploy the US land-based Typhoon launcher from the island of Kyushu in southwestern Japan to Okinawa, Kyodo News reported. The Typhoon was temporarily stationed at the Kanoya Maritime Self-Defense Force base in Kagoshima Prefecture for multilateral exercises in June and July, as well as joint exercises between Japan, the United States, and Australia in September.
