Xi Jinping hopes for relations with the US based on mutual respect

Chinese President Xi Jinping, in a meeting with US President Donald Trump, stated his desire to ensure that relations between Beijing and Washington are built on mutual respect and mutual benefit. "When the president visited China in May, we agreed on the chance to build constructive and strategically stable relations between China and the US," he said. "This time we agreed to fill the concept with additional content, so that relations (...) are based on respect, honesty and reciprocity," added Xi Jinping.
