Tehran submitted to Washington a proposal to resume negotiations and open the strait

Tehran conveyed its proposal to US officials during a meeting between the parties mediated by third parties this week, the Washington Post reports, citing Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi. "Iran has forwarded to the Trump administration a proposal that the Strait of Hormuz be reopened and negotiations to end a full-scale war resume within seven days," Araqchi was quoted as saying in a statement to a group of journalists and experts on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
