The need of Russian companies abroad for satellite communication services can only be met with the help of geostationary spacecraft, said the CEO of the federal organization of the single country "Space Communications" (state satellite communication operator) Alexei Volin at the conference of satellite communication operators Satcomrus-2026. "There is also a market, approximately 5000 MHz, these are Russian companies abroad that are consumers of satellite communication services, we also proceed from the fact that no one except the geostationary can provide them these services," he said.
