The state research center for virology and biotechnology "Vector" of Rospotrebnadzor, when working on vaccines, departs from the need to develop them on different platforms, said the center's general director, Alexander Agaponov, at the OpenBio-2026 forum in the science city of Koltsovo near Novosibirsk on Wednesday. "Vector" approaches this problem in order to ensure that the most effective drug enters the market, and we must do this with certainty, knowing that we have several options for producing vaccines on different platforms that will be effective against any infectious or new disease that arises," said Agafunov.
