Trump promised not to allow adversaries to establish a military presence in Greenland

US President Donald Trump said an early agreement with Greenland, an autonomous territory of Denmark, would permanently block US military adversaries from accessing the island. "As I announced a few days ago, the US has reached an unprecedented agreement on the northern border of North America - a large and strategically important piece of land known as Greenland," he told the UN General Assembly.
