DoorDash to pay $131.5 million over allegations of improper payment of couriers

American food delivery service DoorDash Inc. will pay $131.5 million to settle claims by the City of New York related to the company's failure to comply with rules regarding the payment of couriers, the company announced. DoorDash has reached an agreement with New York's Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP).
