China has increased its wheat purchases from Russia sevenfold in eight months

In January-August 2026, China imported $17.6 million worth of wheat from the Russian Federation, which is 7 times more than in the same period in 2025 ($2.5 million), according to materials from the State Customs Administration (SCU) of the People's Republic of China released on Sunday.
