United States President Donald Trump signed a law approved by Congress to expand sanctions against the Russian Federation and extend sanctions against Iran, according to the White House website. "On Friday, September 18, the President signed into law the Lindsey Graham Russia and Iran Sanctions Act of 2026, which approves and expands the sanctions, obligations and prohibitions set forth in the law against the Russian Federation, as well as expands the existing sanctions against Iran," the statement said.
