The Russian Federation demanded that Japan withdraw the American Typhoon missile systems from the island of Kyushu
On September 3, Russia sent a note of protest to the Japanese side in Moscow and Tokyo regarding the deployment on the island of Kyushu of American systems based on Typhoon ("Typhoon"), designed to launch medium and shorter range missiles, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Friday. "The document specifically stated that official Tokyo has again taken this step, despite repeated steps from the Russian side explaining our concerns about emerging threats to security, regional peace and stability due to the appearance of weapons of this type in the Japanese archipelago," Zakharova said in a response published on the Foreign Ministry's website.
