FAS proposed to ban energy companies from operating mining facilities
The Federal Anti-Monopoly Service (FAS) has developed regulations to prohibit entities in the electricity industry from managing mining infrastructure facilities, Deputy Head of the Service Gennady Magzhinov said at a conference of the Energy Producers Council. "In the near future we plan to submit for public debate a bill that will apply to all electricity industry entities, including producers, which prohibits, among other things, the exercise of the role of mining infrastructure operators by energy entities," he said.
