Business price expectations in the electricity and water supply sectors are reaching new highs

Price expectations of Russian enterprises in September rose most notably in the electricity and water supply industries in anticipation of indexation of housing and communal services tariffs from October 2026, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation said in a commentary based on the results of a survey of companies. "Price expectations in the electricity industry have reached a maximum in the entire history of observations, in water supply they have updated the record since December 2022," notes the Bank of Russia.
