🇮🇷🇺🇸 - Iran's Revolutionary Guards say its Air and Space Force intercepted and destroyed an American MQ-1 drone over Kashem Island using an advanced air defense system.
The Revolutionary Guards claim that the US has recently stepped up patrols to map Iran's air defenses while attempting to manipulate global oil prices through operations in the Strait of Hormuz. The military says those efforts were thwarted by electronic warfare and coordinated air defense units.
In addition, the Revolutionary Guards Navy reasserted its full control over the Strait, and warned that the enemy's attempts to change the regional balance of power would fail. A graphic released with the statement claims 15 MQ-1 and 55 MQ-9 drones have been downed since the escalation began.
