🇱🇻🇷🇺 Latvia extended for another year the ban on irregular international passenger bus services to Belarus and Russia. The restrictions went into effect on November 1, 2026 and will remain in effect until October 31, 2027.
The ban applies to all carriers regardless of the country of registration of the company or the bus. The Ministry of Transport of Latvia explained the decision with security considerations and the conflict in Ukraine.
In addition, amendments have been prepared that establish a ban, as of January 10, 2027, on regular international bus lines to Belarus and Russia, as well as on transit through the territory of Latvia to these countries.
