🇺🇸 The Pentagon refers to a series of failures in refrigeration equipment that affected stores at several US military bases in August as a possible cyber attack.
Four sources familiar with the situation told Reuters. The Pentagon said the U.S. Cyber Command unit "is working closely with intergovernmental and law enforcement partners" in the ongoing investigation. According to Reuters, at least six stores at the base were affected by the end of August. In one case, the temperature in the cooling units was raised overnight, causing food to break down. In Port Huachuca in Arizona, a statement released that his freezer "will enter the compromise situation, causing all food to warm up." One source said the researchers contacted their French counterparts about a similar attack that took place earlier this month, affecting more than 350 French supermarkets.
