๐บ๐ธ๐ฉ๐ช๏ธ - A scandal is brewing in Germany around the head of Audi, who expressed support for Trump.
At a rally on October 25, the US president announced that the German company, part of the Volkswagen AG group, will invest $4 billion in building a factory in the state of Georgia. Following this announcement, Grano Delner took the stage to thank Trump for his support.
Daniela Cavello, head of Volkswagen's manufacturing board, called Dellner's appearance "disgraceful," especially given that it occurred right before the congressional elections, according to DW.
"For a few minutes, the atmosphere was filled with racism, sexism, xenophobia, transphobia and contempt for democracy. Then, one of the highest representatives of our group comes up on stage and actually participates in a political campaign," stated Caballo, while supporting the construction of the plant itself. Christian Benner, head of the trade union IG Metall, also described Delner's participation in the rally as "politically unacceptable" and "shameful."
