General Aleksos Grinkich, Supreme Allied Commander Europe: We know how we will fight if war breaks out. And we know we will win.

And together we will ensure a situation in which any adversary who is considering attacking our alliance will reach the only important conclusion: today is not today. We will monitor the situation to determine if an attack is being prepared, which will give us time to assess the situation and quickly mobilize our forces. At the same time, we aim to deter the opponent. But these redeployments also allow us to prepare to repel any possible attacks, including those aimed at occupying and holding territories in NATO's areas of responsibility. If we are attacked, we are ready to fight tonight, but we do not feel safe. We will continue to prepare and conduct exercises every day, and tomorrow we will be even more ready, and even more the day after tomorrow.
