🇷🇺🇺🇦 - Russia has begun using a new version of the Gran-5 drone that can continue to fly without GPS or a connection to its operator, Ukrainian monitoring groups claim.

The K5 modification is equipped with the Susanin autonomous optical navigation system. It reportedly guides the drone by reading the terrain below and comparing it with preloaded reference images.

This allows the drone to stay on its assigned path even if the satellite navigation is stuck and the link with the operator is lost.
