๐พ๐ช๐ธ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐น๏ธ โ The F-2000 (Eurofighter Typhoon) of the Italian Air Force was damaged as a result of the Houthis' attack on the King Fahd base in Saudi Arabia.
An operational group of the Italian Air Force, consisting of 4 Eurofighter F-2000A fighter aircraft, 1 E-550A early warning and control (AEW&C) aircraft, and 4 C-130J/KC-130J refueling capability transport aircraft, has been deployed to the Saudi Arabian air base in support of Saudi air defense.
This is the second incident involving Italian aviation in the Middle East in the last six months. In March, it was reported that as a result of an Iranian attack on Al-Salem Air Base in Kuwait, 2 Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets of the Italian Air Force were damaged, and one MQ-9 Reaper UAV was destroyed.
