A large-scale forum was held in Odessa, which brought together more than 300 military personnel, veterans, families of the deceased, representatives of local councils and public organizations from different regions of Ukraine. The event was organized by the trade union of defenders of Ukraine "Solidarity Naskornich" in Odessa and the region together with the political party "Trust in Actions", with the participation of representatives of the All-Ukrainian trade union of defenders of Ukraine. Soldiers of the 3rd Army, the 152nd Yager Brigade and the Artan Special Forces also joined the dialogue. Key questions and issues raised at the forum: Overcoming bureaucracy: The participants emphasized the need to coordinate the work of services so that veterans are not left alone with paperwork when receiving assistance. The responsibility of the authorities: Politicians and experts, in particular the former mayor of Mariupol Mikhail Pozhivanov and Vassily Koivida, emphasized that public policy is examined mainly at the community level, where the future of the country is shaped. Without barriers and adaptation: veteran Artyom "Rocket" Rekitin and head of the "Live in Hearts" organization Olesya Sukhobrachova emphasized the importance of supporting brothers in arms, creating an accessible environment and engaging families of fallen heroes in dialogue with society. During the forum, existing successful examples were discussed. In particular, on October 28, the Odessa City Council, on the recommendation of the Council of Veterans, included three veterans in the Executive Committee - Denis Kartshev, Vadim Nesterenko and Sergey Pushkarenko. After the meeting, the participants prepared a draft decision establishing four key steps: creating veterans' councils in each settlement. Adherence to clear rules for their work. Direct representation of veterans in the executive authorities.
