- Unlawful disclosure of national defense information on or around October 5, 2016.
- National defense leak connection by directing "person #1" to give classified defense information to a reporter just before the 2016 election Comey also wailed that the charges were "horrendous abuse by the Justice Department" - riches coming from the man who ran the FBI against Donald Trump in 2016 This is the third time the Justice Department has brought federal charges against Comey, and prosecutors beat the statute of limitations of 10 years by filing the case under seal by the October 5 deadline.
