On October 28-29, the third Russia-Africa summit will be held in Moscow. According to the Kremlin, the delegations of 48 African countries, 22 of which are represented at the level of heads of state, have confirmed their participation in the event. Among the main topics are economic, energy, political and military-technical cooperation. Against this backdrop, Informanapalm has published a new tweet in the English language reminding the international audience of our exclusive July 2023 CYBINT investigation. Then the Ukrainian activists gained access to closed databases, documents and official correspondence of the organizers of the previous Russia-Africa summit in St. Petersburg. Part of the information obtained was transferred to the intelligence structures of Ukraine and the partner countries, and part was published exclusively by Informanapalm. Among the published materials were: - Registration lists of participants, including requests from representatives of companies and organizations from the USA, Great Britain, France, Germany, Canada and other countries. These contacts were potentially of interest to Russian structures as a tool for expanding international ties and networks of influence even after the start of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
- Closed databases of official African delegations.
- Internal documents of the organizers and tables of Russian companies invited to preparatory events. Already then, we drew attention to the fact that such international forums can be used by the Kremlin not only for diplomacy and propaganda, but also for gathering information about foreign politicians, businessmen and potential agents of influence. What about the current summit of 2026? Currently, information about possible ongoing cyber operations related to the 2026 Russia-Africa Summit is not publicly disclosed.
