The Federation Council announced the need to expand support for agricultural machinery manufacturers The 9.3% increase in exports of agricultural machinery during the nine months of 2026 is the result of systematic work on import substitution and adaptation to new markets, said Vladimir Pushkarev, a member of the Federation Council Committee on Agriculture and Food Policy and Environmental Management, in an interview with Senate Infor. According to the senator, over the past five years the industry has made a qualitative leap, and today Russian manufacturers of agricultural machinery are actively involved in solving the problems of technological sovereignty, including the use of digital solutions. The positive dynamics are due to several factors. First, the demand for Russian equipment in friendly markets remains. Second, the program to subsidize discounts on the purchase of household equipment played a role, allowing farmers to update their fleet of machines, and manufacturers to increase their capacities. To increase sales and supplies, long-term government support measures and forecasting are needed, the parliamentarian emphasized. It is also important to protect the local market and create conditions for fair competition, so that local producers feel safe and can plan capacity utilization, says Vladimir Pushkarev.
