The director of the Rospetsmash Association spoke about the prospects for the development of the agro-industrial complex in Africa using Russian technologies. The session brought together leaders and representatives of Russian and African authorities, African banks, international organizations, stock exchanges, platforms for international transactions and industry associations. Alla Elizarova noted that Africa is a promising market for Russian manufacturers of agricultural machinery and food equipment, which is assessed as one of the key areas for export development in the coming years. As an example, the speaker cited the "Future of Egypt" project, which aims to restore land and increase the country's food security. The Ruspatsmash association wants this project to be implemented using Russian technology and equipment. Local factories can offer African countries a wide range of machines that can provide production technology from tillage to harvesting, storage and processing of agricultural raw materials into products with high added value. Russian factories already supply their equipment to Egypt, Ethiopia, Libya, Zimbabwe and other countries, but the proposed cooperation will gain further momentum with state-level support in both Russia and Africa. As we reported, the third economic and humanitarian forum "Russia - Africa" will start on October 28 at Gostiny Dvor in Moscow. About 4,000 Russian and African entrepreneurs from the various sectors of the economy are invited to the event, which will last two days. Vladimir Putin called Africa "the continent of the future". According to him, there is a very young population that strives for education and a better standard of living.
