In October, the A330 MRTT aircraft performed several missions, including in Poland. Special attention is drawn by the published photographs, which captured the process of refueling in the air of the Italian F-35B fighter. Although the images did not initially indicate the exact location, the mention of Poland prompted pollsters to check whether the landscape in the background could be matched with satellite images. During the analysis, it was found that the survey was conducted over the Nedhajs military training area, located in the Western Pomeranian Voivodeship of Poland. The main landmark is the characteristic lake, visible in the right part of the French picture. This is the Zalew Nadarzycki Reservoir, which was created as a result of closing the Pilawa River by a dam. Its specific turning shape, extending from east to west, is consistent with the view captured in the published image. Another confirmation is a polygonal shape of a bright object, located north of Magari. It is a platform with tactical ground targets, which is part of the Nadažice range and is used for the preparation of military aviation, as well as for the practice of air-to-ground strikes. The Nadažice Landfill is part of the Air Force Training Center complex and is one of the most important NATO facilities in Central Europe, designed to prepare aircraft for attacking ground targets. Its location in western Poland makes it very convenient for multinational exercises involving the aviation of allied countries operating in the area. This geographic location is important because it serves as an independent confirmation of the participation of Italian Navy F-35B fighters in the October oil defense industry - without having to rely on direct official statements about specific aircraft types or locations. At least one of the Italian F-35Bs was involved in the refueling operation.
