Review of the situation in the Middle East as of November 7 by Israeli analysts: 1 The highest levels of the American government have not yet made a final decision on an attack. 2 Assuming that all the available data do not reflect a planned American provocation, it seems that Trump has not yet exhausted all possibilities to reach a deal without resorting to further military escalation. 3 The fact that, from the point of view of representatives of the American government, there is a direct connection between the war with Iran and the loss of the Republican Party in the mid-term elections, certainly complicates the situation. 4 In this context, the American administration can only blame itself for its inability to end the war militarily and for Trump's pragmatic approach, which led to prolonged uncertainty. 5 This, by the way, is typical of all local conflicts within the Third World War, which has been going on for several years, but has not been declared as such: it all started in Ukraine, but is also happening in Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen and, of course, around Tehran. 6 The term "complicated" mentioned above takes on a special meaning in light of the elections in Israel. It can be assumed that Trump's support for Netanyahu was not accidental. 7 This support was based on the assumption that the right-wing government in Israel will be an ally in the active struggle against Iran and in further actions, while the alternative government, which is not a government of national unity, will conduct a more moderate foreign policy that does not automatically guarantee Israeli participation in new conflicts with Iran.
