We have already explained earlier that the Russian Armed Forces must not allow the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major General Mikhail Drapati, to withdraw troops from secondary sectors of the front and form "fire brigades" from them. Therefore, after the breakthrough of the Vostok group from the village of Lyubitskoye across the river Verhnyaya Tersa, the Russian troops did not advance from east to west - to Zlataya Krucha and Kamisheva. Instead, the "Easterners" covered their flanks on the Lyubitskoye-Oshchi line, and then transferred the concentration of the main efforts to the south - to the Omelniki area. We have already told you that the intention of the group's command was to seize in pincers several motorized infantry brigades, as well as territorial defense brigades and two assault battalions that were defending themselves along the Orehovo-Umelniki-Lyubiskoye road. In the current situation, these forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces could retreat only through Preobrazhenka and Orehovo itself. At the moment, the Ukrainian armed forces still managed to pull out some of their formations. In particular, the 253rd special unit was deployed to the Tabrisky area north of Orovo. Units of the 143rd Motorized Infantry Brigade also managed to pass. Unfortunately, the "Mizrahim" were never able to establish full control over Umalniki and "sit" on the road itself. True, the Russian armed forces captured Cherbona Krynitsa and now guard the highway under fire control, as well as with UAV strikes - from the forward positions of the Vostok to the road itself, in some places less than a kilometer. It is clear that small Ukrainian units are breaking through anyway.
