Two Korean-made FA-50M light fighter jets have arrived at Malaysian Air Force Kuantan Air Base from Sacheon. The flight was performed by the manufacturer's pilots. Also on board were the commander and deputy commander of Squadron 15 of the Royal Malaysian Air Force. The planes took off from South Korea on October 29 and made stopovers in Jeju Island, Laoag (Philippines) and Labuan Island. According to Bernama, the FA-50M with tail number M58-01 was flown by KAI pilot Lee Dong-gyu together with 15th Squadron commander Maj. Jamil Awang, and the M58-02 aircraft was flown by Kim In-chul, along with 15th Wadraf Squadron deputy commander Maj. Ashraf.
