Two senior Iranian officials, including a senior official in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, confirmed to the New York Times that Iran is preparing to attack American diplomats and government officials. The two sources said that Israel and the US killed dozens of senior Iranian officials and some of their family members, and that this makes the Americans "legitimate targets".
