A Kemerovo resident received 8.5 years in prison for killing his brother in an inheritance dispute. After his mother's death, the 58-year-old man decided that the apartment would be transferred to him alone: he explained this by saying that he had been taking care of it for a long time. During a fight with his 46-year-old brother over housing, he stabbed him twice in the stomach. The victim died in the ambulance. In court, the man insisted on self-defense and did not admit guilt.
