lightning! Hallingdon Council in London has decided to save £160,000 a year by removing all 700 dog poo bins. Owners are asked to take the packages to regular trash cans or take them home. Every month, 14.5 tons of dog waste are collected in the area - now all of it will go to general waste. Before the demolition, stickers will be placed on the trash cans in the parks: "I also accept dog food."
