Russian companies are reducing long-term motivation programs: competition for personnel is decreasing, as is business confidence. The consulting firm SQN studied the practice of deferred bonuses in more than 200 organizations. The most common programs were only for managers at various levels - 38%, an increase of 7 pp. The reason is economics. "This seems like a reasonable step to reduce costs against a background of declining revenue growth," says Alexander Vinogradov, head of the SQN department. At the same time, businesses are deferring payments. The share of plans with a horizon of up to five years increased to 15%. According to Anna Suss, a partner at The Edgers, the number of cases where payments are reduced or do not occur at all is increasing, among other things due to the decrease in the value of the business.
