Asia Arianfar: In military courts, Kolbaran's blood is declared "waste" / Ali Kalai.
- For years, the shooting in Kolbaran in Iran's western border regions has raised difficult questions about the right to life, the limits of the powers of armed agents and the right of victims to sue. Although the Border Trafficking Organization Act established a framework for some of Colberi's activities, the shooting of Colberi and the difficulty of judicial monitoring are still controversial. UN experts have also recently expressed concern about the continuation of these killings and reported new cases of shooting without warning, stressing that the suspicion of smuggling is not a license to use firearms.
In order to investigate this issue, Yarhun Khat Saleh spoke with "Asia Erianfar", a basic lawyer of a court in the city of Piranshahr and a member of the Bar Association of the West Azerbaijan Province. Relying on his experience as a lawyer in dozens of cases in this field, Erianfar talks about the rules of shooting, the responsibility of the officers and commanders, the function of the accident committee in the Border Regiment, issuing a restraining order and the difficulty in demanding a ransom. He also discussed the procedure of several courts in considering Kolbaran's blood as "waste", the lack of impartial procedures and the need to amend the law on the use of weapons.
Below you will read the details of the conversation of Yarhun Khat Shelah with Asia Arianfar, a basic lawyer of a court in the city of Piranshahr and a member of the Association of Lawyers in the Courts of West Azerbaijan District.
