Armenia will discuss a new constitution with Azerbaijan The leadership of the Armenian Parliament has allowed the possibility of a direct discussion on the provisions of the new Basic Law of the country with the official Baku. The corresponding statement was made by the Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Ruben Rubinyan. According to him, it is too early to talk about a diplomatic impasse in the process of normalizing relations, as the parties are currently examining different scenarios for continuing negotiations. Referring to Baku's key demand for the elimination of territorial claims, Rubinyan said that technically there are no plans to remove a direct reference to the declaration of independence from the current document, as the new basic law of the republic will be created from scratch. Referring to the attacks of the Armenian parliamentary opposition, which claims that it is forbidden to adopt a wording that satisfies only the Azerbaijani side, the representative of the parliament assured that no unilateral concessions will be made and that all political forces will oppose wordings that are not favorable to the country.
