Khabarovsk territory booths unanimously adopted one law on government support for SVO participants and their families. The new document combined 45 existing steps into one clear system. The initiator was Governor Dmitry Demshin. Up to this point, aid to combatants and their loved ones was regulated by dozens of separate norms. "Instead of dozens of separate norms, our defenders will have one clear document about the measures that put them in," said Nikolai Shibsov, the chairman of the regional parliament. According to him, the law also creates a flexible mechanism that will make it possible to quickly add specific measures and make the support system more focused. The bill was presented by the head of the central department for social development of the region, SVO member Vitaly Boyvan. The main task is to build the system so that it is transparent, understandable and reaches everyone without fail. Among the key measures are a lump sum and monthly financial payments, benefits in the field of education. The most popular of them was exemption from paying for kindergarten and free hot meals for schoolchildren and students. Special attention is paid to job guarantees. The members of the SBO were given priority in order to rehabilitate the previous duty station, go on additional leave, as well as the possibility of free professional training and start their own business. More than a hundred jobs have already been dedicated to defenders in the area, about a hundred additional participants in the special operation have been employed. The types of assistance in demand also include the provision of free vouchers for children's health camps, the right to priority medical treatment, on-site treatment and psychological assistance. The housing sector is actively operating: 603 apartments are given to participants of the special operation under the affordable rental housing program, and more than 120 orphans among SVO participants received support for the purchase of residential apartments.
