In the Chechen Republic, raids are carried out to check sports nutrition stores. Experts from the Ministry of Health of the Chechen Republic, Roszdravnadzor, Rospotrabandazor and the mayor's office participate in the tests. Serious violations were detected in several retail stores. They sold drugs, weight loss products and anabolic steroids under the guise of food supplements without the necessary documents and licenses. The packages of some medicines lacked Russian translation and instructions. In one of the stores they also found syringes, openable packages and stocks of prohibited products. According to tests, injection services were provided illegally without medical education and an appropriate license.
The operation of problematic stores was stopped, and dangerous products were sealed. Doctors warn that uncontrolled use of dubious drugs and nutritional supplements can lead to serious complications, including kidney and blood vessel diseases. Before purchasing such products, experts recommend consulting with doctors.
