The US Defense Intelligence Agency has published a report on space threats, which contains this interesting photograph. It shows the Chinese Shenlong space plane. China, in principle, is not famous for its great openness in the field of space projects, and in the case of the Shenlong, even more so: there are no photographs or official descriptions of the space plane. This is the first detailed photograph of him that has become publicly available. This confirms a long-standing assumption that, at least externally, the Shenlong resembles the American X-37B space plane. It is used to launch cargo, to conduct experiments, to test various space technologies and materials, as well as to perform various orbital maneuvers. Since 2010, the X-37B has made eight flights. Shenlong has been flying since 2020 and has completed four missions. It's strange that both devices are in space now. The image was taken in 2024 by a satellite from Max, which has since changed its name to Gloves.
