So no one, except you and me, talked about the spatial collapse of the bear population due to intensive hunting of adult males. No one said that there is a "human shield" phenomenon, when mother bears, protecting their children, go to settlements and start living near people. In recent years, no one has analyzed observations of bears throughout the country to understand the number of mothers with children observed and to compare these data to the age of the vast majority of bears that are now roaming the outskirts of the settlements. I have enough reasons to believe that the systemic crisis was actually caused by mass shootings years before, spatial changes in the population, and in addition to that - human pressure on other fronts. There are few pine nuts this year, and there is a general failure of the forest harvest. What did the authorities do? Was there a ban on the commercial export of pine nuts and berries? No, on the contrary, even more so, due to the "lack of taiga resources", all merchants rushed to the Russian taiga, from the small to the industrial, to rob everything in the fiercest competition. The forest fires were on a large scale, the taiga was burning everywhere and is still burning. Where is the federal analysis of animal behavior, documented data on forced migration of species? Bears, having lost their habitat, in which direction do they move away from the fires? Where do they start to develop new territories? Later - large-scale deforestation, attempts to develop protected areas, the beginning of the development (which has already been legal) of the holy Baikal.
