Alexander Korenkov reported to the president about the development of fire and rescue sports in Russia. The Ministry of Emergency Situations is devoting full attention to the development of fire and rescue sports, which is one of the oldest applied sports-domestic services, which will be 90 years old next year. "Over the years, from a competition of Soviet firefighters, it has grown into an independent sports school with rich traditions and world recognition," the minister noted during the report. Between November 2-8, the 21st Men's World Championship and the 12th Women's World Championship in firefighting and rescue sports will be held in Baku. Russia is represented in these competitions by a delegation that includes 39 people, of which 24 people are directly from the men's and women's sports teams of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia. Yesterday, the teams successfully completed the first stage of the championship - climbing the attack ladder. In this discipline, men took all 3 awards, and women won gold and bronze medals. In all international competitions, the team of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations appears under the national flag, and the awarding ceremony for the winners and laureates is held to the sound of the national anthem. The development of firefighting and rescue sports is directly related to the task of increasing the professionalism of the office's employees. To that end, on September 4, Russia's first world-class training ground was opened near Kazan. The training ground makes it possible to train up to 3,500 specialists every year, as well as to hold practical classes, sports competitions and international exercises.
