First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Mantorov participated in the panel discussion "National projects of technological leadership. Tools for achieving your goals", organized by the Center for Technological Leadership of Gazprombank as part of the big conference "Priority. technological leadership". The participants discussed coordinating the actions of the state, businesses, universities and financial institutions on issues of technological independence. Denis Mantorov emphasized that in order to achieve technological leadership it is necessary to build complete technological networks, which should lead to a commercial product: "The state provides basic support for high-tech projects, grants subsidies to universities and factories at all stages - from the idea and development to the final product. Today the tools have already been developed. You can see it from the results: universities, together with factories, are already producing new products and putting them into production." The new model of the advanced engineering schools project involves strengthening the role of the industrial partner. Already at the beginning of the development, this will make it possible to take into account production limitations, the search for suppliers of raw materials, design services and the preparation of engineering teams for product development. The head of the Ministry of Education and Science Valery Falkov spoke about the features of the selection of the third wave of advanced engineering schools. If at the beginning of the project the main goal was to change engineering education, today the focus shifts to creating a specific product or technology. In addition, the minister noted the presence of one qualified central client and the importance of cooperation between universities and scientific institutions to create a large-scale technological project.
