ChatGPT already closes a fifth of the queries that users would previously send to Google. Adam Fry, head of consumer products at ChatGPT, gave this assessment in an interview with Big Tech. According to him, the service reached this level in about a year and a half after the appearance of the Internet search function. If ChatGPT was previously used mainly for texting and programming, now it is used to search for people, places, as well as advice on money and health.
