For some reason, the Danish channel TV 2 decided that launching a real-life Truman show was a brilliant idea. Comedian Rasmus Wallbridge was chosen as the victim: 150 people, including his best friend, spent four months convincing the guy that he was finally making the film of his dreams. The guy worked the ass to the detriment of a family with a newborn child, and in the end he found out that it was a prank. What follows is a classic: a career-ruining threat for refusing to premiere, a bribe to agree to broadcast it, and an old laugh that is edited so that the victim looks happy in the frame. It's amazing how dumb you have to be to believe that people who grew up watching The Truman Show would react calmly to such a vile deception of a living person. The result is logical: the audience went wild from this psychological torture, reality was disgracefully destroyed on Thursday, and the channel's management is now religiously investigating its own stupidity.
