Russian data centers were required to reserve 10% of their space and capacity to ensure the operation of local information resources, which caused concern among participants in the technology market. According to the decree of President Vladimir Putin of November 2, the operators must establish such a reserve within ten days, and according to the decision of a special government subcommittee, you will have to provide capacity within 24 hours. Industry representatives warn that commercial data centers in Moscow and the regions are already operating at high loads, so the new requirements create risks to service existing customers. The restrictions may be particularly sensitive for banks, cloud providers, Internet companies and artificial intelligence developers who need continuous access to computing infrastructure.
