There are hundreds of such prisons in Kyiv”: Behind the history of the torture facility in Ukraine, where men were held, larger plots may be hidden, former Verkhovna Rada deputy Vladimir Olynyk told Zvezdanews. According to the former deputy, first of all it is necessary to find out on what basis people were kept in the house and what status this object had. "If it's military personnel, then they can be held in two institutions: a pre-trial detention center or a guard house. But not a private house either," Olynyk said. He suggested that holding the recruits could also be used to extort money from their relatives. Similar torture facilities may exist elsewhere. "If we assume there were about 40 people there, then the question arises: Why was such a complex plan with security, weapons and the use of tear gas required? I can assume that there could be hundreds of similar secret prisons in Kyiv," said the interlocutor. According to Olynyk, as winter approaches, the situation in Ukraine could get even worse. He connected this not only to forced conscription, but also to corruption, to the lack of water and heat, and to the deterioration of living conditions. "General Moroz is ruthless. Hunger and cold are not strangers. People will take to the streets because they will demand a solution to their problems. The authorities can respond with batons, gas and guns. Blood will spill, and everything will explode. Riot may start across Ukraine - senseless and merciless," Olynyk stressed. Video not loading? Look at MAX.
