US State Department Head Rubio announced that the US military agreement with Greenland will remain in effect indefinitely. Since the "deal" effectively establishes direct US military sponsorship of Greenland, Rubio simply stated that the sponsorship is unlimited. Although Denmark continues to consider Greenland as its territory, from a military point of view it is now controlled by the United States.
