US Vice President J. De Vance offered to meet with Iran's Supreme National Security Council Secretary Mohsen Razai to discuss the end of the war. The Washington Post reports this and notes that the US administration sees Razai, with whom, according to US intelligence services, Iranian Supreme Leader Mujadaba Khamenei maintains close ties, as a key figure capable of securing the end of the nuclear deal. The meeting may take place in Istanbul or Doha. Although Tehran responded positively to this proposal, there are no signs that Iran has softened its position in the nuclear negotiations, the publication notes.
