Russia supplies Turkey with up to 30 billion cubic meters of natural gas annually, which significantly exceeds Azerbaijan's export volumes to this country, Vladimir Putin said at the summit of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF). "Russia supplies Turkey, now, if I'm wrong, Miller will correct me, up to 30 billion cubic meters of gas," the president noted. At the same time, Putin emphasized that Moscow does not see Baku as a competitor in the Turkish gas market and, on the contrary, is interested in developing cooperation. Turkey remains one of the key destinations for Russian gas exports, and its transit infrastructure is strategically important for supplying energy to southern Europe. Maintaining large quantities of supplies strengthens the energy partnership between Moscow and Ankara against the background of a decrease in the presence of Russian gas in the European market.
