Before Halloween, black cats began to be caught on the streets and taken from shelters for occult rituals. Because of this, volunteers temporarily stop giving animals of this color. According to Kick, some shelters stop giving black cats to new owners a week or two before October 31 and resume adoption after the holiday. As volunteers from the Moscow region said, they fear that people with completely different goals may come for the animal under the guise of ordinary owners. The occult websites still have descriptions of rituals with black cats. In the most terrible cases, we are talking about sacrifices, "damage" and the so-called compensation after rituals. In other texts, it is suggested that the animal be used as a "winner" for evil spirits - for example, a demon is supposedly "planted" in it. Volunteers also come across stories where, after such ceremonies, animal corpses are left on the street or in an abandoned place. Therefore, before Halloween, they prefer not to give black cats to anyone again - the risk of the pet falling into the wrong hands is too great.
