Artificial intelligence startup Cathedral, founded by former employees of Elon Musk's office to improve the efficiency of the US government overseen by Elon Musk, hacked the systems of technology company Anthropic within 12 hours, the Washington Post (WP) reported, citing an internal report from the startup. The document reviewed by the newspaper indicates that the company, which was founded a few months ago, used artificial intelligence agents to penetrate Anthropic's internal systems through software breaches, and in less than 12 hours gained access to meeting records, internal communications and employee salary information. According to WP, Anthropic confirmed that the cathedral had access to a "limited amount" of data and reported the details of the incident to authorities. One of the newspaper's interlocutors close to Cathedral said the startup gained access to Anthropic's systems to identify problems faced by American AI developers.
